Ya'anga
Just stumbled on a song I don't like because i believe for that artist it was disappointing and it brought to mind my initial reaction to the way people dress up around here or should I say dress down
I have decided to write about fashion as I see it all around me
It must be because I am Nigerian that I can't seem to grasp the fashion here
I have seen all sorts and so I have come to the conclusion that there probably isn't a way to describe the way people dress up in these parts
So many people can't be wrong at the same time or can they?
It must be about the style of the individual which is no style a lot of times
Before you Judge me, I'm not a style icon but I try to include sanity in my choices and follow pattern and design rules as much as possible
I'm tempted to give up on colour all together because I seem to be among the few who consider hues and shades
I must complement the varied choices of jackets and boots

Two interesting things have happened to me today (your today, my two weeks ago)
One; lost my apartment
Two; found a Nigerian restaurant and Malta Guinness
Got into school early enough to go tour the library as a typical Nigerian I didn't know where to swipe my card to get into the library and afterwards how to leave, phew! Thank goodness, the British is polite
Now I'm seated opposite a nigerian lady named after a horror movie
Drinking with great pleasure my Malta Guinness and smiling like one that has found great spoil and swaying to Sarah Grooves "You are Beautiful"

Jouncing!!!
Although the use of trains grow on you, there are moments of panic
When you think you missed your train or you got on the wrong train or got off at the wrong stop
I haven't had any of this drama but as I listen to MI's "Action Film" I remember 2 incidences I'll like to call "jouncing"
Firstly, my friend and I have been staying at Wolverhampton pending when our place is ready
That means trains and trekking

True Talk
Sitting in a train 20mins from my stop
Listening to Sarah Bareilles go on about miles and eyeing the large White man adjacent from me
He seems engrossed in his crossword and everything around me, just not me
I look at my hands and realize although I'm a nicely blend milk chocolate I'm just not white or at least biege
Johnny Just Come (JJC)
Preparing to leave Nigeria was not as hectic as it would have been for a first timer but I have two sisters schooling in the US so it was just a repeat of what their list contained plus plenty advice on the erratic weather of the UK
The day before my trip I asked one of my closest friends in a slight panic what I was doing
